the beginning
Born in 2019, MAGMA was created by portuguese photographers and filmmakers Inês Gil and Susana Pinto. They met at Uni and formed a lifetime friendship.
MAGMA is an artistic place for adventurous, yet artistic photography, represented only in self-portraits and each other's modelling - while celebrating and embracing the female body.

Being in total control of their images, from posing to shooting and editing, gives them a unique feeling of freedom and joy they can only experience when working like this.

Each photo
a different adrenaline
Lovers by heart of the adventure and the abandoned, these elements are a big part of their work.
People make the places through memories, connecting the present and the past. It's about respecting, contemplating and blending in.
The goal is ultimately to create art that can be appreciated and makes them proud, while stepping out of their comfort zone. And of course, all paired with a good amount of laughs along the way!
